Update!!

Ok, so I have been working my ass off the last few months to feel good in my skin again. Guess what? It is paying off. I am back in my size 4s and feeling amazing. Just in time for summer. Have I reached all of my goals? Nope. But I am getting there. If you didn’t read my previous post, you can go back and read it here. I am working my way back to my old body post-baby (side note: I can’t believe he just turned 1!) and it has been frustrating and wonderful all at once.

What I have learned is that when it comes time for the next baby, I WILL be working out during my pregnancy. Sick or not sick. I will force myself. I get so frustrated with myself that I took as long as I did to get back to my old self. I felt fat and ugly for the first 9 months of his life. Too long in my opinion. Life is too short to waste time feeling like that!

This journey has taken me through 3 different programs (P90X3, 21 Day Fix and the beginning of Focus T25 – all 30 minutes or less per day might I add!). I did some doubling up (I told you I was working my ass off!) and was really good with my diet for the last 4 months. I became INSANITY® certified in February and have since started teaching classes at Five Points Chiropractic and Wellness. I will be adding more classes to my schedule in the next month or so. I have made fitness a major part of my life again. It feels so good to be able to focus on something that I am so passionate about and to help others find that love too.

My next goal is to get a six-pack by September when I will be going on a family vacation to the beach. I’ve never in my life had a six-pack. I’m not sure if I will get there by then or not, but I am going to try my damnedest! In order to keep myself accountable, I am posting my before and current pictures. This is never easy. I know I had a baby and that is where the extra weight came from, but it is still embarrassing. I am proud of where I am now and will keep working toward my goal.

I’m down 13 pounds, 13 total inches, and 2 pants sizes. Not too shabby, eh? If you are interested in joining me in my next challenge group starting in June, please let me know! Let’s reach our goals together!!
